- Try ROM Version 6.10 for 1496. An have ROM Version 1.09 for the 2864.
-
- I do not know what, but Zyxel changed something between
- 6.10 and 6.11 (6.12) that makes the modem *VERY* noise sensitive.

- The 6.10 is still able to connect at that S/N.
- I had made the experince that the ROM6.12 etc. does NOT
- connect at a SN <= 26db anymore!
- (1496E+ to 1496E)
- Connecting V.34 (Rockwell) with an 2864D was impossible with that line.
- At least i could get some connects to 1496 with the 2864D so i can enter
- the #E1 (available only after 6.11ff.) and saw that one
- external telefone tax counter reduces the S/N from 29 to 26db...when
- plugged in.
- Removing the counter makes ROM 6.15 with. BUT that's of cause
- at a solution. 26db is not too bad, and ROM 6.10 did make absolutely
- stable 16800 connects to 1496E.
